As the successor model of the effective 8800F it features many improvements, that make it best suited for scanning slides, film, negatives, photos and documents. At a color depth of 48bit the CCD sensor achieves a maximum optical resolution of 4.800 x 4.800 dpi for reflective originals and an amazing resolution of 9.600 x 9.600 dpi for transparent originals. The CanoScan 9000F Color Image Scanner delivers an incredible maximum film scanning resolution of 9600 x 9600 (Optical) dpi1 with built-in features that also make it easy to use.
