Ankle Pain

Ankle is the place where the legs and foot meet and has complicated network of ligaments, tissues and bones. The entire weight of the body is to be borne by the ankle and hence it is subjected to frequent pain. The ankle pain can be inside or outside the ankle or in the muscles of lower legs. The pain can be from mild to severe and many times, the pain can be treated by home remedy. Some of the possible causes for ankle pain are gout, Achilles tendinitis, broken angle, osteoarthritis, and sprain in the ankle, mild fracture in the legs, septic arthritis and fractures due to stress. The common symptoms of ankle pain are mild to moderate pain in the lower legs, swelling in the ankle and difficulty in walking and moving the leg muscles.
